Police Arrest Suspect In Violent Domestic And Sexual Battery Case In Pinellas Park

49-year-old Christopher Robison faces multiple felony charges after police respond to domestic disturbance call

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – The Pinellas Park Police Department has arrested a man following a violent domestic and sexual battery incident on Wednesday. Christopher Robison, 49, was taken into custody after police responded to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment on 76th Avenue.

Police arrived at the scene and, after hearing a disturbance, were forced to enter a locked bedroom where they found Robison and a 19-year-old female victim.

According to police, Robison, who has been in a dating relationship with the victim for nine months, physically assaulted her for several hours. He also threatened her with a firearm, prevented her from leaving the apartment, and sexually battered her while in possession of the weapon.

Robison, who police describe as a violent career offender with an extensive criminal history, was charged with:

  • Sexual Battery (Deadly Weapon)
  • Domestic Battery by Strangulation
  • False Imprisonment
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm
  • Aggravated Assault

Detectives have secured and executed several search warrants as part of the ongoing investigation.
