TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – Temple Terrace police have arrested a man in connection with the kidnapping and sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl earlier this week.
Bryan Oyanguren Rosado, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday night around 10:12 p.m. near the intersection of Busch Boulevard and 56th Street. He has been booked into the Orient Road Jail on one count of kidnapping and three counts of sexual battery.
The investigation began on the evening of March 2, 2026, when officers were called to the Doral Oaks Apartment complex for a missing child. According to police, the girl had been approached by a man in a gray Nissan Altima who offered a group of juveniles money to buy him food from a nearby Burger King. After the girl returned with the food, the man allegedly forced her into his car.
The victim arrived back at her home roughly three hours later, telling investigators she had been taken to an unknown location and sexually assaulted before the suspect dropped her off near the apartment complex.
Detectives spent the following days reviewing security footage and following leads that eventually led them to Oyanguren Rosado. “Cases involving children are among the most serious investigations we handle,” said Chief Rob Staley. “Our detectives worked around the clock over the past several days, and we received an incredible outpouring of tips and assistance from our community.”
Chief Staley noted that the public’s cooperation was instrumental in identifying the suspect. The department is currently working with victim advocacy groups to support the girl and her family during the ongoing legal process.
Police stated that while an arrest has been made, the investigation remains active and additional charges could be filed. Oyanguren Rosado’s birth date is listed as February 15, 2001.
Authorities are still encouraging anyone with further information related to this case to contact the Temple Terrace Police Department at (813) 989-7110.
