Police are looking for a Florida man who failed at a bank robbery attempt on Friday.
On July 8, 2022, the Melbourne Police Department responded to an attempted bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1970 W New Haven Ave.
A man entered the bank wearing a Bass Pro Shop Club Member hat, neck gaiter covering part of his face, sunglasses, and a sportscoat.
Police say he went directly to a bank clerk and demanded cash. The clerk immediately called for assistance which caused the man to flee the bank before obtaining any money.
The Melbourne Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the man in the picture. If anyone can provide any information, they are asked to call the Melbourne Police Department (321) 608-6731 or Crime Line (800) 423-TIPS (8477).
