One Man Dead After Shooting In St. Petersburg, Suspect Now In Custody

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Police in St. Peterburg are investigating a shooting homicide that happened around 6:30 pm Friday.

According to police, the shooting happened in the 2900 block of 15th Ave. South, with one victim, an adult male.

Police say the person was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.

The suspect, an adult male, was located a couple of blocks away from the scene and he is in custody.

According to St. Petersburg Police PIO Yolanda Fernandez, 15th Ave South is closed to traffic between 30th St. S. and 28th St. S.
