Police Seeking Two Suspects That Stole Catalytic Converter From Van At A Winter Haven High School

WINTER HAVEN, FL. – Police in Winter Haven are searching for two suspects that were caught on camera stealing a catalytic converter off of a van at a high school.

Police say the pair in the video below, must have known cameras were rolling as they kept their heads down.

The theft happened at New Beginnings High School, located at 3425 Lake Alfred Rd Hwy 17 in Winter Haven.

The three metals that are in the piece are sold at fairly high prices. Platinum, palladium, and rhodium aid in the chemical reaction that helps minimize the harmful effects from the exhaust.

And when that catalytic converter is taken from a vehicle, it is immediately known by loud sounds that are heard when the vehicle is started.

If anyone recognizes this pair or knows anything about this case, please contact the Winter Haven Police Dept. at 863-837-9074.
