POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Polk County man already in jail for theft is facing new charges after being caught on camera committing another burglary while enjoying his pre-Christmas “holiday vacation” courtesy of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Patrick Ciszek was arrested on Christmas Eve for burglarizing a Polk County Fire Rescue equipment shed in Winter Haven. The stolen life-saving equipment was recovered, and Ciszek was booked into the Polk County Jail.

However, while Ciszek was enjoying his stay at Grady’s “Polk Pokey,” detectives were busy investigating another burglary.
A Winter Haven resident, returning home from a Christmas vacation, discovered that packages had been stolen from her doorstep on December 23rd. Thanks to her Ring camera footage, detectives were able to identify the thief as none other than Ciszek.
“Ciszek may be behind bars, but that doesn’t protect him from being charged with more crimes,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “He’ll have to answer for this theft, the one he was already arrested for, and any other thefts he has committed as we continue to investigate.”

Despite already being in custody, Ciszek was charged with the additional burglary. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate whether he may be responsible for other unsolved thefts in the area.
