Polk County Sheriff's detectives seek the public's help in the theft of a puppy in unincorporated Lakeland on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

LAKELAND, FL. – Polk County Sheriff’s detectives seek the public’s help in the theft of a puppy in unincorporated Lakeland on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Deputies say around 7:06 a.m. on May 1; a white female suspect repeatedly knocked on the victim’s door in the Peachtree Mobile Home Park on Peachtree Street East.

The suspect then stole a 4-month-old brindle and white male pitbull puppy from a kennel on the front porch.

The suspect is described as having red hair, wearing a long yellow plaid shirt and blue jeans.

Investigators say she got into an early model silver Dodge Caravan that another white female with blonde hair was driving.

If anyone has information about this theft they are urged to contact Detective Weston at 863-632-2457 and reference case number 22-18530.
