PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Jose Melendez has been located and is safe, according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
ORIGINAL REPORT: A search is currently underway in Pasco County after a man vanished in the middle of the night.
According to an alert from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, deputies are looking for 41-year-old Jose Melendez. Officials have classified Melendez as a missing and endangered adult.
Melendez was last seen on June 25 at approximately midnight. His last known location was in the area of Drexel Drive in Port Richey.
Law enforcement described Melendez as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
When he was last seen, Melendez may have been wearing a black Chicago Bulls shirt with black shorts. Investigators also noted that he might be driving a blue sedan.
The sheriff’s office has not released details regarding why Melendez is considered endangered or the circumstances leading up to his disappearance.
