PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A two-vehicle crash on US-19 Thursday afternoon claimed the life of a Port Richey motorcyclist, according to a report released by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The incident occurred at approximately 4:09 PM on November 13, 2025, at the intersection of US-19 and Beach Boulevard in Hudson.

FHP reported that a Nissan Altima driven by an 85-year-old Hudson woman, was traveling northbound on US-19. A Yamaha motorcycle was traveling southbound and was operated by a 27-year-old Port Richey man.

Investigators stated that the driver of the Altima attempted to complete a U-turn at the intersection. Despite the red traffic signal, the driver proceeded into the southbound lanes, directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.

The motorcycle subsequently struck the Nissan Altima.

The 27-year-old motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries but later succumbed to the injuries suffered during the crash, according to troopers.
