President Of Florida NAACP Chapter Resigns, Citing Racism Directed At Her

It may be a sign that we’ve reached peak wokeness. A former NAACP chapter president is calling her own organization racist.

The story comes to us from Orlando.

According to PJ Media, which picked up the news from the Orlando Sentinel, Dr. Vanessa Toolsie recently resigned as president of the Orange County chapter of the NAACP for what she claimed was “anti-Brown racism.”

Toolsie was the first South Asian to lead the Orange County chapter. Technically, that makes her of Asian American or Pacific Islander, or AAPI, descent.

If a white woman – Rachel Dolezal – could lead an NAACP chapter, then Dr. Toolsie should have no problem at all. Yet that didn’t seem to be the case.

As PJ Media noted, “She accused the organization of leaving her off the guest list for its annual gala and keeping her out of the loop for meetings and ignoring her emails.”

She originally claimed that the other chapter leaders took “no action to curb the harassment and racist marginalization” by its members, PJ Media reported.

But then she submitted a different one. In the new version, she thanked chapter officers who tried to help, but ultimately added, “It would be hypocritical of me to continue to stand at the helm of an organization branch ‘for the equality of all persons’ that is against racism and oppression, while I continue to be treated with such bold disproportionate inequality, maliciously racistly oppressed as the first AAPI President of the branch to a disproportionate blatant level that I have not yet seen in any organization.”

Some incredulous chapter members disputed her claims, or demanded proof. But Toolsie did not back down.

On Facebook she posted “💪🏾AGAIN👉🏾: 🗣A word 🗣I will NO LONGER tolerate ANY racism against me for being a 🤎✊🏾 #ProudBrownWoman 🙋🏾‍♀️ of 🇮🇳 #SouthAsian and 🇹🇹 #Caribbean descent.”

“The fact that I have consistently been made to endure this hateful ☠️racism in anti-racist spaces is abhorrently shameful, and in moving forward, let it be widely known that I have #ZEROtolerance for any further anti-Brown racism against me or anyone else. More to come.” She then added “#STOPAAPIhate.”

As PJ Media columnist LIncoln Brown noted, “Was Dr. Toolsie not quite the right color? Was she not oppressed enough? Who are the arbiters of such things and what are the parameters?”

“The answer is, that no one knows. At its heart, wokism is not about justice, it is about power and money – and the ability to exert that power and accumulate said money.”

“Despite the protestations to the opposite, those who drive these agendas are more interested in seeing themselves enjoying the good life they would deny to their opponents and even their supporters,” Brown added.

But at least they won’t have Toolsie to kick around anymore.
