Fox News Channel topped the weekday primetime ratings during the week of June 15, averaging 2.6 million viewers. According to data from Nielsen Media Research Big Data + Panel, the cable network outpaced NBC’s 2.4 million viewers, ABC’s 2.2 million viewers, and CBS’s 2 million viewers.
In the critical 25-54 age demographic, Fox News secured 239,000 viewers. Across the broader Monday-through-Sunday stretch, the network maintained 2.3 million primetime viewers and averaged over 1.4 million viewers for total day programming.
The network also reported week-to-week growth in its primetime audience, posting a 3% increase within the 25-54 demographic. During the same period, competitor networks saw audience declines in that age group, with CNN dropping 4% and MS NOW experiencing an 18% loss.
Much of the network’s viewership numbers came from its evening block. The Five led the week as the most-watched program, drawing 3.3 million total viewers and 299,000 in the 25-54 demo. A specific episode of the show featuring an interview with Vice President J.D. Vance averaged 3.7 million viewers. This total higher than the Vice President’s interview on ABC’s The View, which brought in 3.3 million viewers.
Other weekday evening programs maintained stable numbers. At 6 p.m. Eastern, Special Report with Bret Baier drew 2.5 million viewers and 223,000 in the 25-54 demographic. At 7 p.m., The Ingraham Angle, which used rotating guest hosts throughout the week, brought in 2.1 million viewers. In later primetime slots, Jesse Watters Primetime drew nearly 3 million viewers at 8 p.m., Hannity averaged 2.4 million viewers at 9 p.m., and Fox News @ Night with Trace Gallagher closed the night at 11 p.m. with 1.4 million viewers.
In late-night programming, the 10 p.m. show Gutfeld! averaged 2.7 million viewers. That figure placed it ahead of broadcast competitors, including ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live (2.3 million), NBC’s The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (1.3 million), NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers (841,000), and all airings of CBS’s Comics Unleashed (776,000). Vice President Vance’s appearance on Gutfeld! pulled in 3.2 million viewers, which is a 7% increase over the show’s current year-to-date average.
Daytime lineups also stayed ahead of broadcast network competition. America’s Newsroom, The Faulkner Focus, and Outnumbered each averaged 1.7 million viewers, while America Reports and The Story with Martha MacCallum both pulled in 1.6 million viewers. The Will Cain Show averaged 1.9 million viewers in the late afternoon. These totals tracking higher than broadcast daytimers like NBC’s News Daily (1.5 million), Today with Jenna & Sheinelle (1.4 million), and ABC’s GMA3 (1.4 million).
Weekend schedules saw similar viewership patterns.
