A stop at a Daytona Beach supermarket has resulted in a massive payday for Keith Royal. The 49-year-old Opa-locka resident traveled to Lottery Headquarters on August 29 to claim a prize from the Mega Millions draw game.
Royal purchased his winning ticket, which included the Megaplier option, at the Publix located at 2630 LPGA Boulevard in Daytona Beach. He elected to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3 million.

Since Florida joined the Mega Millions game in 2013, it has generated over $1.37 billion for education and paid out $1.96 billion to players.
The next drawing is set for Tuesday, November 9, at 11:00 p.m. ET, with an estimated jackpot of $60 million.
