RIVERVIEW, Fla. – A mobile home in Riverview was engulfed in flames early Monday morning, but thankfully, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) was able to save a puppy from the blaze.
Neighbors reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the mobile home located off Fawn Dale Drive. HCFR responded swiftly, with the first unit arriving on the scene within five minutes of the initial 911 calls.

Firefighters found the property fully engulfed in flames and immediately launched an aggressive attack to bring the fire under control. Despite the intensity of the fire, crews were able to extinguish the blaze in under an hour.
During a search of the home, firefighters discovered a puppy and safely brought it out of the burning structure. No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
