CLEARWATER, Fla. – The City of Clearwater will be holding a Memorial Day ceremony on May 29, from 6-7 p.m. at Crest Lake Park, 201 S. Glenwood Ave in Clearwater.
Clearwater Mayor Brian Aungst and Jack Tilley will speak at the ceremony, a somber salute to the nation’s veterans.
Tilley is a decorated war veteran with a 34-year career in the U.S. Army.
While in the army, he served a variety of important positions, including tank commander, drill sergeant, section leader, senior instructor, platoon sergeant, first sergeant, operations sergeant and command sergeant major.
Tilley continued his advocacy for the military after his retirement by serving as co-chairman of the American Freedom Foundation.
