MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Frederick Leon Fraziars, 64, has been convicted of trafficking cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia after a jury deliberated for only 10 minutes. Following the verdict, Judge Timothy T. McCourt sentenced Fraziars to 25 years in the Florida Department of Corrections.
The conviction marks a repeat offense for Fraziars, who had been released from prison just two years prior after serving 15 years for a similar drug trafficking charge.

“Once again, we have successfully removed a major drug trafficker from our streets, a testament to the outstanding efforts of our law enforcement partners,” stated Walter Forgie, Chief Assistant State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. “A 15-year sentence last time for this defendant did little to deter him; hopefully this 25-year sentence provides him more time to reflect on his choices.”
Fraziars was arrested by the Ocala Police Department (OPD) in May 2024. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop initiated by Officer Graham, who observed Fraziars driving a vehicle with inoperable brake lights.

During the stop, a K9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Fraziars attempted to conceal two cups in the vehicle’s center console, but was stopped by officers. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed an orange pill bottle containing cocaine, a razor blade, and a pipe with white powdery residue.
Officers also discovered a large amount of cash in Fraziars’ pocket, consistent with street-level drug sales. After being informed of the found items, Fraziars admitted that everything in the car was his.
Assistant State Attorney Madison Kirkland successfully prosecuted the case.
