Report: Biden Seeks To Turn Illegal Workers Into An Army Of Snitches

If it feels like the Biden administration spends most of its waking hours simply pitting Americans against each other, while proclaiming that it stands for “unity,” that’s because it is.

But now it’s letting non-Americans in on the fun, as the administration takes a novel approach to controlling illegal immigration.

The federal government is making it easier for illegals to remain in the U.S. and avoid deportation if they just rat out who hired them to the feds, according to the Post Millennial.

The website reported on Friday that the Department of Homeland Security was encouraging illegal immigrants “to cooperate with law enforcement investigations, and in exchange [they] will be shielded from potential employer retaliation and will have their deportation relief process expedited.”

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a press release about the initiative, “Unscrupulous employers who prey on the vulnerability of non-citizen workers harm all workers and disadvantage businesses who play by the rules. We will hold these predatory actors accountable.”

As the Post Millennial noted, “While there have already been dozens of cases of immigrants receiving deportation relief in recent years as a means of protecting whistleblowers, DHS will now be actively and aggressively promoting the process.” A senior department official, who requested anonymity, told Reuters that the administration wanted to make the program “more accessible.”

The DHS website explaining the program also notes that not only will illegals in this situation be allowed to stay, but they will also be cleared to remain and seek other work.

It’s unclear what protection a business owner might have if an illegal simply makes a false accusation in order to stay in the country.

The Post Millennial noted the announcement came after President Joe Biden told the North American Leaders Summit last week that his plan to deal with illegal immigration is not deportation but to just expand the number of “legal” pathways an illegal immigrant could travel to stay in America.

As Western Journal columnist Jack Gist wrote on Saturday, “The government holds the power of deportation over the heads of these migrants. They will, of course, conform to governmental demands. They might even feel pressure to vote for Democrats who will either keep the policy in place or grant them full-blown citizenship.”

“In other words, the Biden administration is cultivating a herd of potentially millions of good little sheep.”
