The gaslighting and media duplicity is getting so old and former President Barack Obama helps explain why.

PJ Media, a conservative news website, reported on Thursday that Obama is keeping classified documents in an abandoned furniture warehouse — a warehouse that, by the way, failed the security standards set by the National Archives and Records Administration.

But Obama has not been made to feel the legal heat absorbed by his successor, as former President Donald Trump awaits a special master’s review of supposedly classified records Trump kept in his Mar-a-Lago estate and which were seized in an FBI raid.

The review could determine whether Trump may face charges for improperly keeping the sensitive records.

As PJ Media reported, a Sept. 11, 2018, letter from the Obama Foundation to the National Archives “reveals that the Obama Foundation not only acknowledged possessing classified documents but also admitted that they kept them in a facility that did not meet NARA standards for the storage of those documents.”

The nature of the classified documents is unclear.

The letter also noted that the foundation was willing to spend $3.3 million to facilitate the transfer of the documents from Plunkett Furniture to an NARA facility “that conform(s) to the agency’s archival storage standards for such records and artifacts.”

Plunkett Furniture is a former furniture store in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

As PJ Media noted, “This means that, as the debate over the supposedly classified documents at Mar-a-Lago is unfolding, the Obama Foundation is, at this very moment, storing classified documents in unused retail space in the suburbs of Chicago.”

“While the storage of these documents appears to be with the full knowledge and coordination of NARA, it still raises significant questions, not just concerning the raid of Mar-a-Lago, but also surrounding the legal actions being taken by the Biden administration against Trump over the storage of these documents,” PJ Media added.

“Seeing as Mar-a-Lago is Trump’s Florida home, it is protected by Secret Service, making it far more secure than whatever setup they likely had at the former furniture store space. There is no mention of what kind of security measures are in place to protect the Obama documents — if there are any at all.”

As with almost everything, when Democrats do something, the rules apply to anyone but them.
