MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A long-standing workplace feud took a dangerous turn on Monday morning when a 50-year-old Eustis man allegedly used his pickup truck to terrorize a former colleague on an e-bike.
Jorge Antonio Garcia was taken into custody on February 2 following a confrontation on Summerland Key that local authorities say was caught on camera.
The incident unfolded just before 11:00 a.m. as a 38-year-old man was traveling southbound near U.S. 1. According to investigators, Garcia was behind the wheel of a GMC pickup when he abruptly swerved toward the rider.
While the e-bike stayed upright and no injuries were reported, the victim told deputies that the harassment didn’t stop with a single swerve. He claimed Garcia followed him along the highway, performing multiple U-turns to keep him in his sights.

The victim’s account was quickly backed up by technology.
Detectives reviewed security footage from a nearby gas station, which reportedly showed the GMC truck’s aggressive maneuvers. When questioned about the motive, the victim explained that he and Garcia were former coworkers who had been locked in a bitter, ongoing dispute for some time.
Garcia now faces a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Following his arrest, he was transported to Monroe County Jail for processing.
