Road Rage To Missouri Prison: ‘Pagan’ Gang Member Gets 10 Years For Bloody Rival Ambush

A former motorcycle gang member is headed to federal prison for a decade after a wild highway ambush left a rival rider riddled with bullets.

John J. Hahn, a 47-year-old from Cameron, Missouri, known in the biker world as “Krazy Legs,” was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Greg Kays. Hahn won’t be eligible for parole and will serve a full ten-year stretch for his role in the violent 2022 assault.

The whole thing went down on September 17, 2022, in Blue Springs, Missouri. Hahn and a dozen other bikers from the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club and its support club, Los Valerosos, spotted a lone rival rider on the road. The pack swarmed the victim, chasing him down and forcing him off the pavement.

Once they had him cornered on the side of the road, the gang closed in. They were heavily armed with guns and at least one axe handle. During the confrontation, the rival biker was shot seven times, taking bullets to his knee, thigh, forearm, biceps, buttocks, and the back of his leg.

Investigators say the ambush was essentially an initiation for Hahn, who was a member of the support club at the time. Right after the bloody shooting, he was officially awarded his Pagan’s patch, marking his full membership into the main gang.

Hahn was hit with two heavy federal charges: assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering, and possessing a firearm during a crime of violence.

The case was a massive team effort for local and federal cops, brought down by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bradley K. Kavanaugh and Robert Smith. A long list of agencies handled the digging, including the FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and police departments from Kansas City, Independence, and Blue Springs.

It also marks a win for the Homeland Security Task Force, a government-wide initiative launched under Executive Order 14159 to crush violent cartels, human smugglers, and gangs operating inside U.S. borders.
