Road Rage Victim Shot At In Tarpon Springs, Police Seeking Suspect

TARPON SPRINGS, FL. – A victim of a road rage incident reported to Tarpon Springs Police on Sunday, that he was shot at while driving.

According to police, the victim was driving his vehicle north on US 19, just north of Tarpon Ave., between 2:00 and 2:15 p.m., when the driver of another vehicle fired four to five rounds from a handgun at his car.

Damage consistent with firearm projectiles was discovered to the rear passenger area of the victim’s vehicle, said police.

The victim stated the incident began in the area of East Lake Rd. And Keystone Rd., when the suspect vehicle “cut him off”.

Both vehicles proceeded to travel west on Keystone Rd and once they arrived at US 19 the suspect vehicle “cut off” the victim’s vehicle for a second time. Both vehicles turned north onto US 19 and the shots were fired shortly thereafter as both vehicles approached Cypress St.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30 years old, heavyset, short hair, and clean-shaven.

He was driving a Cadillac CTS, year make approximately 2012, “champagne” or a green type color, Mississippi tag. No known video images of the suspect/vehicle are known to exist at this time.
