A 16-year-old boy from Palm Coast is in the custody of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice after allegedly exposing himself to several women under the guise of asking for directions. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office linked the teenager, identified as Rene Alas Aleman, to three separate incidents occurring over the last few weeks.
The investigation began in late January when an elderly woman reported an encounter on Rydell Lane. According to deputies, a male in a white pickup truck stopped to ask her for directions to a local park.
As she spoke to him, she realized the driver was exposing himself and touching his genitals. While the victim provided a general description of the suspect, she was unable to catch the license plate or the specific make of the truck at that time.

The situation escalated on February 11 when two more women were targeted in the P-Section of Palm Coast. In both instances, victims said a young man in a white Toyota Tundra pulled over on Piedmont Drive to ask where the nearest McDonald’s was located.
Similar to the first report, the driver allegedly unzipped his pants and made suggestive comments to the women. One of the victims in these newer cases was also an elderly resident.
Deputies spotted the white Tundra shortly after the February reports and pulled the vehicle over for traffic violations. Inside was Alas Aleman, who was quickly identified by the two most recent victims.
During an interview conducted with his mother’s permission, the teen reportedly told investigators that the acts were intended as a “prank” that he believed would be funny. He later admitted to detectives that he targeted women walking alone after seeing similar videos on adult websites.

Sheriff Rick Staly addressed the arrest, noting the disturbing nature of the pattern and urging parents to monitor their children’s internet usage more closely.
Alas Aleman faces multiple charges, including lewd or lascivious exhibition in the presence of an elderly person and exposure of sexual organs. Although he was processed at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, he has since been released back to the custody of his parents by juvenile authorities.
