MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Thursday afternoon in the Florida Keys turned into a scene of terror for one local resident after an Islamorada man allegedly stormed her property and launched a deadly projectile attack.
Kenneth Wayne Brenner, 37, was arrested on Feb. 26, 2026, in Islamorada, Florida, following an incident involving a neighbor on North Ocean Lane.
Deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at approximately 5:15 p.m.
The female victim reported that Brenner entered her property and began screaming that he was going to kill her. According to the victim, she fled as Brenner threw chunks of cinder blocks in her direction. She was able to retreat into her residence and call 911. No serious injuries were reported.

Brenner was located by authorities nearby shortly after the encounter. Regarding his motivation for the confrontation, Brenner stated that the victim and her husband were “using some type of machine to radiate him.”
Brenner has been charged with aggravated assault, throwing a deadly missile, and burglary. He was transported to jail following his arrest and is being held with no bond.
