BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — A Saturday morning rollover crash at a busy intersection sent three people to area hospitals and caused ongoing traffic delays in Brooksville.
Hernando County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched just before 11:30 a.m. to the intersection of Lake Lindsey Road and Ponce de Leon Boulevard following reports of a multi-vehicle collision involving an overturned vehicle.
Paramedics evaluated four people at the scene. Three patients were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment, while a fourth person involved declined medical transport.
Officials have not yet released details regarding the severity of the injuries or the identities of those involved.
The crash resulted in lane closures along Ponce de Leon Boulevard as emergency responders worked to treat the injured and clear the wreckage from the roadway.
Motorists traveling through the area were urged to use caution and seek alternate routes until emergency crews could fully clear the intersection. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
