Rubio Demands Answers From Biden, Who Gave The ‘Kill List’ To The Taliban

President Joe’s Biden’s unmitigated fiasco in Afghanistan has gotten at least 13 American troops killed so far.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio now wants to know what other U.S. citizens and Afghan partners might be vulnerable to retaliation by the Taliban after the administration shared a “kill list.”

The Florida Republican sent Biden a letter on Friday, threatening to hold up any of his national security nominees until he gets answers.

“I am greatly distressed by your admission that your administration may have provided a list of American citizens, legal permanent residents, and vulnerable Afghans to the Taliban,” Rubio wrote.

“Regardless of the assurances, your administration may have received from the Taliban, your decision to believe them was nothing less than irresponsible and naïve. Sharing such a list provided the Taliban a powerful tool in their ongoing ‘revenge killings’ of those who stood with the United States, and its mission in Afghanistan, during the last twenty years.”

Continuing, Rubio added that while the administration claims this list would help U.S. citizens to navigate Taliban checkpoints, “this decision blatantly ignored credible reports that the Taliban was directly targeting Afghan individuals that supported American troops.”

The senator noted that on July 22, the Taliban kidnapped and executed Khasha Zwan, a popular comedian in Kandahar, and on Aug. 2, the U.S. diplomats in Kabul accused Taliban thugs of carrying out at least 40 revenge killings.

“Even as the Taliban claimed a ‘general amnesty,’ there were multiple reports of Taliban fighters conducting door-to-door searches for those who worked for the Afghan government or for American organizations,” Rubio wrote, noting that during the height of the chaotic evacuation, U.S. embassy staffers were destroying passports and visa applications to try to protect sources from the Taliban.

Rubio added that, considering the “significant personal risk” to those on the list, he was demanding immediate answers to the following questions:

  • Who authorized the list of names in question to be shared with the Taliban?
  • When did your administration change its posture on the likelihood of Taliban revenge killings and provide this list to the Taliban?
  • Can you confirm if everyone on that list was safely evacuated?  Does your administration plan to inform those on that list of the significant personal threat they face?
  • Do you commit to rescuing those individuals on that list, if they were not already safely evacuated?

“This action has endangered Americans, and our allies, who have been unable to leave Afghanistan and seriously calls into question your administration’s decision making,” Rubio concluded.

“As such, I will oppose any and all of your nominees for national security positions until you provide responses to the questions posed.”

  1. Biden forgot to remember that terrorists don’t keep deals with infidels and swindlers. My takeaway: More power is always Biden’s first purpose. Gifting the Taliban was the payoff for insuring Trump would take the hit on the withdrawal and eliminate him for 2024; and Biden would become America’s next super-hero. Biden’s a swindler who thinks he can talk his way in or out of any situation. His Swindlers List Administration cooked it up, but now it’s all blown back in their faces.

  2. So China Joe gave the list to our enemies. Now where did we hear the sort of thing before? Oh yes, Jane Fonda handing the list the POWs passed to her, in hopes of getting information out, to the captors in the Hanoi Hilton. Nothing happened to her then, nothing will happen to China Joe now. It’s still treason.
