PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 25-year-old Ruskin man died early Friday morning following a violent single-vehicle wreck in Pasco County. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place at 1:20 a.m. as the man was driving a Toyota Camry westbound on State Road 56.
The vehicle was approaching Cypress Ridge Boulevard when the driver lost control and left the pavement. After hitting the shoulder, the Camry struck a ditch and continued moving at high speed through the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot.
The car eventually collided with an FDOT information sign and overturned.
First responders arrived to find the driver had suffered fatal injuries; he was pronounced dead at the site of the crash. Troopers are currently investigating the factors that led to the driver losing control, and no further details regarding his identity have been made public.
