Russell Brand is facing two new sexual offense charges, including one count of rape, after prosecutors updated the case against the comedian at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
The 50-year-old appeared via videolink from Florida to hear the latest allegations, which involve two additional women. According to the charges, the incidents reportedly took place in London during 2009.
This development brings the total number of alleged victims in the case to six.

Before this week’s hearing, Brand had already pleaded not guilty to five separate charges—two counts of rape, two of sexual assault, and one of indecent assault. Those earlier indictments relate to alleged incidents occurring between 1999 and 2005.
The court has ordered Brand to appear for a plea hearing regarding the new charges at Southwark Crown Court on February 17. A trial for the initial five charges is already on the docket for later this year.
