POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A recreational vehicle towing a pickup truck erupted in flames Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 4, forcing authorities to shut down a busy exit ramp.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene at approximately 12:35 p.m. According to investigators, the RV was traveling westbound on I-4 when it began suffering mechanical issues.

The driver managed to pull the vehicle over onto the exit ramp for State Road 557 before the fire spread.

Troopers have closed the ramp while emergency crews work to extinguish the blaze and clear the wreckage. Authorities confirmed there were no injuries reported in the incident.
