SARASOTA, FL. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office was currently assisting the Sarasota County Fire Department and TECO Energy overnight.
According to deputies, around 2:30 Friday morning, a construction crew hit a gas line at the intersection of Honore Ave. and Wilkinson Rd.
The intersection was closed for several hours while crews repaired the gas line, and have since reopened.
