SARASOTA, Fla. – A Sarasota man is currently being held without bond following a lengthy investigation into the repeated sexual abuse of a child. Detectives with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office took 40-year-old Noel Lopez-Cisneros into custody on April 23, 2026, after uncovering evidence of crimes stretching back over half a decade.
According to investigators, the abuse began in September 2020 and continued until the month of his arrest. Lopez-Cisneros was reportedly an acquaintance of the victim.
The case against him was built through a combination of forensic interviews, witness statements, and recorded admissions, all of which led detectives to establish probable cause for a series of severe felony charges.

The official charges against Lopez-Cisneros include five counts of sexual battery on a victim under the age of 12 and seven counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.
Due to the nature and frequency of the alleged crimes, he is being held at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility with no option for bail while the legal process moves forward.
Sheriff’s officials noted that the investigation into Lopez-Cisneros’s conduct is still active. Authorities are asking anyone who might have further details about this case, or information regarding other potential victims, to come forward.
