SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – A Venice neighborhood became the scene of a major law enforcement operation Thursday morning as tactical teams moved in to apprehend a local resident following an investigation into illegal digital material.
On April 23, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office executed a high-stakes search warrant at a residence located at 4277 Lenox Blvd.
The operation was a massive joint effort, involving the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit, the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, and various Tactical Units. Authorities confirmed the raid was the culmination of an investigation regarding the possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

During the search, which officials say was completed without incident, deputies identified 21-year-old Dylan C. Deputy as the primary suspect. Deputy was taken into custody on site and now faces four separate counts of possession of CSAM.
The Sheriff’s Office characterized the bust as a “collaborative effort” that resulted in the “removal of a dangerous offender from our community.” Following the arrest, Deputy was transported to the Sarasota County Correctional Facility, where he remains in custody.
While an arrest has been made, investigators emphasized that the case is far from closed. The investigation is ongoing as digital forensics teams continue their work.
Local authorities are asking for the public’s help to ensure no stone is left unturned; anyone who might have information relevant to this case is encouraged to contact the SCSO Investigations Bureau at 941-861-4900.
