TAMPA, Fla. – The search for 80-year-old Peggy Wright has concluded successfully. The University of South Florida (USF) Police Department report that Mrs. Wright has been located safely and is currently being reunited with her family.
ORIGINAL REPORT: The University of South Florida (USF) Police Department has launched an urgent search for 80-year-old Peggy Wright, who was reported missing this evening after failing to return home from the USF medical campus.
Wright was last seen on surveillance footage at the Morsani Eye Institute / Morsani Medical Center, located at 13330 USF Laurel Drive, at approximately 4:30 PM today.
The alarm was raised by Mrs. Wright’s husband when she did not arrive back home. He drove to the medical center and located her vehicle and cell phone in the parking lot, but his wife was not present. He notified the USF Police Department at approximately 7:00 PM.
According to authorities, Mrs. Wright may be disoriented and unable to find her way home. The USF Police Department is requesting immediate assistance from the public and local media to locate Mrs. Wright as quickly as possible.
The USF Police Department urges anyone who has seen Peggy Wright or has any information regarding her whereabouts to contact them immediately at the non-emergency line: USF Police Department: 813-974-2628.
