Missing 74-Year-Old Land O’ Lakes Man Located By Pasco Deputies

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The search for a missing and endangered Pasco County man has come to a fortunate end. Authorities confirmed that 74-year-old Donald Machen, who disappeared from the Belinda Drive area of Land O’ Lakes on Monday morning, has been found and is safe.


Authorities in Pasco County are asking for the public’s help as they search for 74-year-old Donald Machen, who has been classified by officials as a missing and endangered person. Machen disappeared on March 9 from the Belinda Drive area of Land O’ Lakes.

According to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, Machen was last seen between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and noon. He is described as standing 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 173 pounds.

He has brown and gray hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, Machen was dressed in blue shorts, gray sneakers, and a blue/green shirt featuring a “Columbia” brand marking.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released specific details regarding the nature of his “endangered” status but is treating the search with urgency. Local residents in the Belinda Drive neighborhood are encouraged to check their property, outbuildings, and home security camera footage for any signs of the missing man.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone who may have spotted Machen or who has information regarding his current location to contact the Pasco Sheriff’s Non-Emergency Line immediately at 727-847-8102, option 7.
