SEFFNER, Fla. – Smoke filled the air over Euclid Loop on Thursday afternoon as Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews battled a fast-moving fire that tore through a local residence.

The emergency began just after 1:00 PM when a flurry of 911 calls and an automated fire alarm alerted dispatchers to a developing crisis in the Seffner neighborhood.

The first fire engine arrived on the scene at 1:11 PM to find a single-story house heavily engulfed. Thick flames were reportedly pouring out of the back of the building, threatening to consume the entire frame.

Firefighters acted quickly, pulling hose lines into the interior of the home to beat back the heat. Their aggressive approach paid off, as they managed to bring the main body of the fire under control in under 20 minutes.

While one team focused on the flames, others moved through the smoke-filled rooms to search for anyone trapped inside. They eventually confirmed the house was empty. Despite the lack of residents inside at the time of the fire, one civilian was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition for a medical evaluation.

No firefighters were injured during the operation, and crews remained on-site to douse hotspots and ensure the scene was safe. Fire investigators are currently working to determine exactly what sparked the blaze, as the official cause has not yet been identified.
