Sen. Rick Scott Predicts A “Bloodbath” At The Polls For Democrats In November

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott has predicted a “bloodbath” at the polls for Democrats in November, as voters will show they are fed up with the “do-nothing” Biden administration.

Appearing on Fox News on Sunday, the Florida Republican called President Joe Biden’s agenda “horrible,” hurting everyday Americans by driving up gas and food prices.

“I think this is going to be a bloodbath for the Democrats this year,” Scott predicted.

Scott then discussed what the Republicans would do if the Democratic wipeout he predicted comes to fruition.

“We have to balance the budget. “This is caused by reckless spending. … Every proposal Democrats have is spend your money. Spend more money,” said Scott.

“We’ve got to reduce taxes, reduce fees, reduce the size of government. We’ve got to become energy independent. Don’t go to Saudi Arabia and beg them for fuel. Go to Texas and ask them to get more fuel. Fix the supply chain.”

“The Biden administration is a bunch of do-nothing people that all they do is blame,” Scott continued. “Balance the budget. Start with that. That’s the simplest thing we have to do. But we’ve got to figure out how to balance our budget, and we can do it. And reduce the cost of government. It’s way too high. Stop spending money.”

The senator also said Americans have to show some initiative. “If you’re able-bodied … get to work,” he said. He accused Biden of wanting to raise taxes on every income bracket, and noted that Democrats want to solve problems by spending even more money.

Scott, who chairs the GOP committee responsible for getting Republicans elected to the Senate, also dismissed reports that Republicans may not retake the Senate because of several flawed candidates.

“We could potentially pick up six seats” in the Senate, he said. The problem for Democrats, he added, is that they sell themselves as moderates, but they’ll have to go home and explain to voters why they supported policies that drove up spending, increased the national debt, fueled inflation and backed Biden’s “horrible” agenda that has generally made America worse off.

“People are fed up with the Biden agenda,” he added.

The freshman senator also predicted that Hispanics would be a key voting bloc for the GOP.

“Hispanics are going to vote our way because they are fed up with the government, they are fed up with a public school system, they are fed up with the government that’s causing their prices to go up. We just got to get out there and talk to them. When we do, we win,” he insisted.

The midterm elections, he added, are “a referendum on the president’s strategies, which are horrible, so this is not going to be about (20)’24, it’s going to be about ’22.”

“We have every reason to believe we can win but this is going to be about gas prices and food prices and the Democrats wanting to defund the police and critical race theory, things like that,” Scott said. “It’s going to be about three issues: Inflation, my kids getting a good education, living in a safe community, and the Democrats on the wrong side of those issues. Every Democrat voted on the wrong side of those issues for years.”
