SARASOTA, FL. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is currently assisting The Florida Highway Patrol on a crash involving a pedestrian.
A dark-colored Nissan Altima was traveling south on S. Tamiami Trl. when it struck a pedestrian on a skateboard attempting to cross the road.
The vehicle failed to stop, made a U-turn, and continued north on S. Tamiami Trl.
The vehicle should have front-end damage. The pedestrian was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
