Sheriff Chad Chronister will hold a press conference today, to release the results of a week-long operation, that was conducted during the days leading up to WrestleMania, in an effort to combat human trafficking in Hillsborough County.
For the second time this year, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office conducted anti-human trafficking operations ahead of a large-scale event.
Detectives went undercover to take down criminals who wanted to prey upon juveniles, sought out sex for themselves, and exploited victims through human trafficking. More than 70 individuals were arrested as part of “Operation Takedown.”
