HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – Gary Floros has been located in the Panhandle area by the Florida Highway Patrol, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
“He is safe and will return soon. Thank you for all of the tips,” said HCSO.
Previous Report: The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating Gary Floros, a 73-year-old man with dementia who went missing from his Spring Hill home this morning.
Floros was last seen around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19th, when his wife left their residence on Teather Street to go to the store. Upon her return around 1:00 p.m., Floros was gone.

He is believed to be driving a gray 2003 Ford Explorer with Florida license plate 8633UU.
Floros is described as:
- White male
- 5’8″ tall
- 125 lbs.
- Gray/black hair
- Brown eyes
- Last seen wearing blue jeans, a maroon button-up shirt, tennis shoes, and reading glasses.
