Update: Missing Pinellas Park Man Located, Silver Alert Canceled

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – The Silver Alert issued Sunday by the Pinellas Park Police Department has been canceled after 87-year-old Robert Earl Lovejoy was located and is safe.

Lovejoy had been reported as a Missing/Endangered Adult after leaving his residence in the 6400 block of Cedarbrook Dr S in his silver Mercury Grand Marquis.


ORIGINAL REPORT: The Pinellas Park Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 87-year-old man, Robert Earl Lovejoy, who was last seen leaving his residence on Sunday.

Mr. Lovejoy, a white male described as 5’9″ tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with blue eyes and grey hair, was last seen in the 6400 block of Cedarbrook Dr S in Pinellas Park. He was reportedly wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts.

Police say Lovejoy left his home in his vehicle, a silver Mercury Grand Marquis bearing Florida license plate Y94XSB.

Authorities are urging the public to be on the lookout for Mr. Lovejoy and his vehicle. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Robert Earl Lovejoy is asked to immediately contact their local law enforcement agency.
