Silver Alert Canceled: Missing 76-Year-Old Lakeland Man Found Safe

LAKELAND, Fla. – William Enfinger has been located and is safe, according to the Lakeland Police Department.


ORIGINAL REPORT: Police have issued a Silver Alert for William Enfinger, a 76-year-old man who vanished Thursday morning after a routine trip to a local gas station. Mr. Enfinger was last seen by his family around 9:45 a.m. on April 2, 2026.

He reportedly left his home to pick up drinks at the Chevron station situated at the intersection of Airport Road and New Tampa Highway, but he never returned.

The search intensified after his vehicle was spotted hours later. Investigators confirmed his car was seen near Riverview High School at approximately 3:15 p.m., miles away from his intended destination.

Mr. Enfinger is a white male, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall, with silver hair and a balding scalp. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans. Family members are deeply concerned for his safety, as he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and is hard of hearing.

He is believed to be driving a 2024 white Kia Soul with a Florida license plate RHYF18.

Authorities are asking the public to stay vigilant and keep an eye out for the white Kia. If you see Mr. Enfinger or have any information about where he might be, please call 911 immediately or contact the Lakeland Police Department at 863-834-6966.
