Six Firearms Seized From Seffner Residence During Probation Check; Teen Felon Arrested

SEFFNER, Fla. — A 17-year-old convicted felon is in custody following a joint operation in Seffner that led to the recovery of six firearms and ammunition.

Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, collaborating with the Florida Department of Corrections, conducted a probation compliance check on Arturo Garcia, 17. Garcia is an adjudicated adult with a prior felony conviction.

During the initial check, detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence. Upon searching the home, authorities located three rifles, three pistols, and associated ammunition.

Garcia was arrested at the scene and charged in connection with the seized weapons. Law enforcement officials stated that the investigation remains active and additional charges are currently pending.
