Six Florida Players Claim Total Of $6,000,000 This Week On Scratch-Off Tickets

Six lucky Florida Lottery players were announced this week for a total of $6,000,000 in winnings from scratch-off tickets.

On Monday, the Florida Lottery announced that Maria Chavez De Mendoza, 58, of Palm City, claimed a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.00.

Chavez De Mendoza purchased her winning ticket from Smart Dollar, located at 413 Southeast Monterey Road in Stuart. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Tuesday, Jose Aponte, 64, of Deland, claimed a $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.

Aponte purchased his winning ticket from Winn-Dixie, located at 3120 North Woodland Boulevard in Deland. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Joanna Causey, 53, of Port Saint Joe, claimed a $1 million top prize, on Wednesday, from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.

Causey purchased her winning ticket from Express Lane, located at 701 Monument Avenue in Port Saint Joe. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Thursday, two millionaires were announced, Yadira Mendez Rodriguez, 19, of Naples and Roberta Montgomery, 66, of Gainesville, each claimed a $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game.

Mendez Rodriguez chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00. She purchased her winning ticket from Shell Trade Center, located at 2493 Trade Center Way in Naples.

Montgomery also chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00. She purchased her winning ticket from Food Max Food Store, located at 404 South Main Street in Gainesville.

Each retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

On Friday, an Air Force Veteran claimed his $1,000,000. Ricky Lansford, 68, of Sarasota, claimed a $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.

“We couldn’t believe it!” Lansford told the Lottery. “My wife and I noticed a lot of people winning $1 million from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game, so we decided to try our luck! Now we’re celebrating our own big win!”

Lansford purchased his winning ticket from Shell Gas Station, located at 3440 South Osprey Avenue in Sarasota. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
