Small Charter Plane Crash in Tampa, 3-Transported as Trauma Alerts

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police were on the -scene at N. Ward St & W. Laurel St where a small charter plane has crashed. Tampa Fire Rescue said that three patients transported as trauma alerts.


During a press conference on Friday, airport authorities said the the plane left from Zephyrhills and that the pilot had radioed in an emergency prior to the crash.

No one on the ground was injured and no buildings were hit in this crash. TECO is working on downed power lines that were struck by the plane.

Tampa Police Officials said that there were three men on the plane and each of the three was outside of the plane when police arrived on the scene.

All three men were transported vis trauma alert and we are awaiting details on their condition.
