TAMPA, Fla. – On September 6th, 1985, at approximately 9:00 PM, Sonya Dye left her residence located at 2209 20th Avenue in Tampa. She would never return home.

Dye’s body was found on September 7th, 1985, naked in a grassy area beside railroad tracks located at the 3600 blk of East 21st Avenue.

Police observed vehicle tracks leading to the area of the body, but a suspect vehicle wasn’t identified in this case.

On September 6th, 1985, at approximately 9:00 PM, Sonya Dye left her residence located at 2209 20th Avenue in Tampa. She would never return home.
