Reginald Travis Pearson, a 40-year-old West Columbia resident, has been sentenced to over a decade in federal prison after pleading guilty to distributing methamphetamine.
Court evidence revealed that Pearson distributed substantial quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine to undercover agents between November 2022 and January 2023. Additionally, he illegally sold firearms despite being a convicted felon.

Pearson’s extensive criminal history, including multiple drug-related convictions, led to his sentencing as a career offender. United States District Judge Sherri A. Lydon imposed a 200-month prison sentence, followed by five years of supervised release.
This case highlights the collaborative efforts of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through community engagement and strategic enforcement.

The investigation involved multiple agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and local law enforcement.
