TAMPA, Fla. — A confrontation over neighborhood speeding escalated into violence last week when a 20-year-old driver allegedly used his vehicle to strike two people who had asked him to slow down.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred on December 26 along Redwood Terrace in Tampa.

According to investigators, the victims approached Michael Bonetti Jr. to confront him about speeding on the residential street. Deputies say that during the dispute, Bonetti intentionally drove his vehicle into the two individuals.
