POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 19-year-old Winter Haven man is facing multiple charges, including a felony contraband offense, following a Sunday morning traffic stop, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies pulled over a blue 2019 Kia Optima around 9:39 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, after clocking the vehicle at 42 mph in a designated 25 mph zone.
The driver, identified as Say’Von Larodderick Jackson, immediately admitted to the stopping deputy that he had never held a driver’s license.
Jackson was placed under arrest and transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center. While at the processing facility, Jackson informed a deputy that he was concealing a baggie of marijuana inside his body.
Officials subsequently recovered the baggie from Jackson at the facility.
Jackson was booked on a third-degree felony charge of introducing contraband into a detention facility. He also faces misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a valid license.
