PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A 28-year-old Spring Hill man died late Thursday night after losing control of his SUV at high speed and crashing into two parked vehicles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 11:19 p.m. on August 13 along Laura Lee Drive.
According to state troopers, the man was driving a Chevy Equinox eastbound at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle approached a curve near Delft Place, the driver failed to negotiate the turn and drove off the roadway.
The Equinox then crashed into a Chevy Silverado and a Dodge Challenger, both of which were parked outside a home at 17812 Laura Lee Drive.
Upon impact, the Equinox caught fire. Troopers reported that the driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
