Spring Hill Woman Killed In Early-Morning Collision On US-19 In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A collision between two Volkswagen Jettas left one woman dead and another seriously injured in the early hours of Tuesday morning. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 3:25 AM on March 10, 2026, at the intersection of US-19 and Clark Street.

Investigators say a 48-year-old woman from Spring Hill was driving a Jetta southbound on US-19 when she attempted to make a U-turn at the Clark Street intersection. As she pulled into the northbound lanes, her vehicle entered the direct path of a second Jetta traveling in the opposite direction.

The second vehicle, operated by a 45-year-old Spring Hill woman, struck the first car.

The impact resulted in the immediate death of the 45-year-old driver, who was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency responders.

The 48-year-old driver sustained serious injuries during the crash. Paramedics treated her at the crash site before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

The Florida Highway Patrol has not released the names of the individuals involved at this time. Traffic investigators remained on-site through the morning to document the scene and clear the wreckage from the intersection.
