St. Petersburg Hit And Run Victim Dies, Police Seeking Driver Who Fled Scene

ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – The 45-year-old St. Petersburg man, the victim in a deadly hit and run crash on 38th Avenue North early Sunday, has died.

The vehicle police investigators are searching for has been described as a silver or gray Nissan Xterra.

The crash occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, when the electronic cross country bicycle the St. Pete man was riding was struck from behind by the Nissan in the 7800 block of 38th Ave. N.

The driver of the Nissan Xterra, made between the years 1999 to 2004, did not stop.
