St. Petersburg Pedestrian Killed In 49th Street Collision

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred at 9:17 PM on Sunday, 2026, at the intersection of 49th Street North and 62nd Avenue North.

A 35-year-old St. Petersburg man was operating a Chevy Colorado southbound on 49th Street North. At the 62nd Avenue North intersection, an unidentified male pedestrian entered the highway and moved into the path of the vehicle.

The Chevy Colorado struck the pedestrian. Following the collision, the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further details regarding the identity of the pedestrian have been released at this time.
